Where do I submit?

  • Outside NYC: Send your LOI, IHIP, and reports to your local district superintendent.
  • NYC (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island): email homeschool items to the NYC DOE Office of Student Enrollment - Home Schooling Team.

What & When

  • Notice of Intent (LOI): due by July 1 annually, or within 14 days of starting mid-year.
  • IHIP: submit after LOI per district/NYC DOE timing.
  • Quarterly Reports & Annual Assessment: follow your district/NYC DOE calendar.

Suggested dates commonly used: Nov 15 · Jan 31 · Apr 15 · Jun 30 (Annual Assessment). Adjust if your district sets different dates.
